Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor — North London — £65,000-£69,500 per annum (+ Car allowance/Company car)

Project Value: £10M

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on an exciting new infrastructure scheme in Manchester with a strong focus on earthworks and drainage.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring tight control of budgets and timelines.
  • Manage NEC 4 Option A contracts, including accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and contract administration.
  • Work closely with the delivery team, engineers, and key stakeholders to align commercial strategy with project delivery.
  • Drive value engineering and ensure cost efficiency through smart procurement.
  • Manage risk and ensure strict contractual compliance.
  • Mentor and support junior QS team members, encouraging growth and development.
  • Provide clear and strategic commercial reporting to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of NEC 4 Option A contracts and their commercial management.
  • Skilled in managing subcontractor packages and maintaining tight cost control.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field. RICS/CIOB accreditation is a plus.
