Job Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor

An award-winning Building & Civil Engineering contractor based in Co. Down is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company has recently expanded into new markets and sectors, especially in infrastructure and specialist areas, and is recognized as a reputable contractor delivering quality solutions to a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide commercial support to the project team, maintain commercial information, and ensure contractual compliance.
  2. Liaise with customer representatives and third parties on commercial issues, including variations, claims, and payments.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely cost and value reporting at project and business unit levels.
  4. Manage costs, including forecasting and updating CVRs, costs, and commercial plans.
  5. Accountable for commercial performance and strategy in collaboration with the project team.
  6. Ensure subcontractor terms are appropriate and risks identified.
  7. Engage with the supply chain with proper contract terms.
  8. Foster good client relationships.
  9. Handle subcontract letting, negotiation, and financial accounting.
  10. Coordinate effectively between the commercial and operational site teams.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract (NEC3 or NEC4).
  • Knowledge of current Construction Law.
