Overview

Project Quantity Surveyor - Housing & Heritage Projects. Location: Plymouth or Cornwall - Site Based Role. Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Car Allowance. We are working with a reputable construction management company who are seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take ownership of projects across housing developments and heritage refurbishment schemes, delivering high-quality work while managing costs effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Full responsibility for commercial management of allocated projects.
  • Preparation of cost plans, valuations, and financial forecasts.
  • Procurement of subcontractors, negotiation, and management of subcontract packages.
  • Cost control, variations, and change management.
  • Preparation and agreement of interim and final accounts.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual obligations.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally across housing or heritage projects.
  • Strong understanding of JCT forms of contract and Construction Management contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
