This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing civil engineering and construction contractor operating across the North West. With a proven track record of delivering complex projects to the highest standards, the company specialises in groundworks, reinforced concrete (RC) frames, and high-rise construction. Known for its hands-on leadership team and commitment to quality and safety, the business has carved out a strong reputation in the regional construction market.

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Liverpool, with a focus on high-rise residential and mixed-use developments.

You will play a key role in overseeing the financial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring maximum value is delivered at every stage.

Responsibilities
will include:

Preparing
and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans

Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and variations

Conducting
site measurements and valuations

Liaising
with site teams to monitor progress and assess cost impact

Preparing
monthly CVRs and cost reports for senior management

Managing
risk and identifying value engineering opportunities

Working
closely with the commercial manager to ensure cost-effective project delivery

Attending
regular progress and client meetings

Supporting
with final accounts and dispute resolution as required

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project QS in the high-rise or RC frame sector

Strong understanding of groundworks and structural concrete packages

Minimum
of 4 years' experience in a QS role, ideally with a principal contractor

Degree
qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline (HNC/HND acceptable with experience)

Ability
to manage multiple subcontractor accounts and deadlines

Excellent
commercial acumen and communication skills

A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving

Full UK driving licence
