Job summary

Velocity Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor for planned maintenance to join a Bromley head office. You will be responsible for commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, with 1 day WFH after probation.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern and a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, and regeneration projects across London and the South East.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors and project costs.
• Commercially focused with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Salary: Up to 70,000 + package

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, family-owned construction and property group with a strong presence across London and the South East. Established in 1998, they deliver residential, commercial, refurbishment and regeneration projects across the public and private sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team at their Bromley head office.

The Role

You will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with the project delivery team, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and account management.
• Managing valuations, variations and payments.
• Monitoring project costs, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Managing change, risks and commercial opportunities.
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts.

About You
