Job Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor

An award-winning Building & Civil Engineering contractor based in Co. Down is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company has recently expanded into new markets and sectors, particularly in infrastructure and specialized areas, gaining a reputation for delivering quality solutions to a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide commercial support to the project team, maintaining accurate commercial information and ensuring contractual compliance.
  2. Liaise with customer representatives and third parties on commercial matters such as variations, claims, and payments.
  3. Ensure timely and accurate cost and value reporting at project and business unit levels.
  4. Manage costs, including forecasting and updating monthly cost reports and commercial plans.
  5. Collaborate with the project team on commercial performance and strategy.
  6. Ensure subcontractor agreements are appropriate, with identified risks, and that supply chain contracts are properly managed.
  7. Foster good client relationships.
  8. Oversee subcontract letting, negotiation, and financial accounting.
  9. Coordinate effectively between the commercial team and site operations.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract, specifically NEC3 or NEC4.
  • Knowledge of current Construction Law.
