Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Project Quality Engineer for a leading nuclear engineering organisation. Based in Bristol with UK travel, you will support the Project Quality Manager to maintain high standards of quality, compliance and safety while embedding a Right First Time culture across project delivery.

You will develop and maintain project quality processes, monitor manufacturing and site activities, and assist with ITPs, inspections, NDT and records.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
• Experience implementing quality programmes and processes.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 19443.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project quality processes.
• Monitor manufacturing and installation activities for compliance with specs and standards.
• Support inspection, testing, NDT and dimensional checks and quality records.
• Ensure projects follow approved procedures, including ITPs.
• Identify quality issues and support resolution and continuous improvement.
• Monitor project quality KPIs and prepare performance reports.
• Provide feedback to project teams on quality performance and concerns.
• Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, construction and quality teams.
• Visit suppliers and project sites to assess quality and process performance.
• Support development of a strong nuclear safety and quality culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused engineer to support the delivery of major nuclear projects, working across project, manufacturing, construction and supplier environments.
You will support the Project Quality Manager in maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and safety, while helping to embed a Right First Time culture across project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We are looking for a quality-focused engineer with experience within nuclear, manufacturing, engineering, construction or another highly regulated environment.

Essential

• Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Business or a related discipline.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Experience implementing quality programmes and processes.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 19443.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Desirable

• UK nuclear experience.
• Knowledge of RCC-M requirements.
• Nuclear new build experience.
• Knowledge of modern welding procedures.
• Experience with NDT and inspection activities.
• French skills.

Location & Travel
