Job summary

The Bristol-based Project Quality Engineer role supports the Nuclear division by assisting the Project Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining project quality processes. You will ensure Right First-Time delivery and verify installation and manufacturing activities meet ITPs, NDT standards, and quality records.

Travel to suppliers and project sites to verify quality capacities, drive KPI-based improvements, and train teams on company policies and guidelines to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

• BSc in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related Degree.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing or construction environment implementing quality programs.
• Track record of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Knowledgeof ISO 9001, ISO 19443 Standards.
• Knowledgeable of RCCM and any related requirements.
• Knowledgeable of Nuclear New Build Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining project quality processes for successful project delivery.
• Promote a Right First-Time attitude and ensure final quality of delivery.
• Check installation/manufacturing activities against requirements including NDT and dimensional checks and records.
• Proactively address quality topics and suggest improvements to eliminate repeats.
• Report quality topics to the Project Quality Manager (PQM).
• Monitor compliance with ITPs and project procedures across sites.
• Track KPIs and performance indicators to assess quality performance across projects.
• Travel to suppliers and project sites to ensure quality capacities are met.
• Familiarize and train the team on company quality guidelines.

Our Client, is a global industrial turnkey constructor specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of innovative industrial plants across various sectors (Oil & Gas, nuclear, FMCG, pharma etc) are currently looking for a Project Quality Engineer experienced in the Nuclear sector.

The Project Quality Engineer is responsible in assisting the Project Quality Manager in:

• Responsible to assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining project processes for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
• Responsible for promoting a Right First-Time attitude and ensuring final quality of the delivery.
• Checks the installation / manufacturing activities are acceptable to the requirements including the required NDT and dimensional checks, and its associated records.
• Ability to work proactively to ensure quality topics are dealt with swiftly and to suggest improvements to eliminate repeating.
• Reports any quality topics to the PQM.
• Checks that the projects are implementing the correct procedures and follow the process including ITPs.
• Chases and discusses open actions with the action owners.
• Monitor the performance status of projects through relevant indicators - Safety First-On time-On spec-On Budget-Customer satisfaction, creating KPIs to assess quality performance across the projects.
• Understands and exceeds customer (internal or external) needs and expectations.
• Provides feedback to the Project team and leaders on concerns regarding Quality.
• Manages data related to KPI's and identify opportunities for improvement / Preparing performance reports for relevant stakeholders.
• Travel to suppliers and project sites toensure quality and process capacities are met.
• Become familiar with company policies and train the team to follow guidelines.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.
