Job summary

Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd in the UK invites applications for an experienced engineering planner to support major power generation infrastructure projects. The role is permanent and full time, based in our Manchester office with a requirement to be in the Stockport/Manchester vicinity three days a week.

You will develop and analyse complex project programmes, lead KPI reporting, and apply Primavera P6, Monte Carlo risk analysis, and MS Power BI.

Qualifications

• HND or bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering subject.
• Permanent role, full-time hours.
• Located within a reasonable commute of our Stockport, Greater Manchester office to be present in the office 3 days a week.
• Experience gained with medium to large industrial or energy projects.
• Development and analysis of complex project programmes and schedules.
• Expert user of project management software including Primavera P6.
• Skilled with probability analysis e.g. Monte Carlo and Primavera risk analysis.
• Best practises for assessing, recording, and reporting progress including leading and lagging KPI's.
• Critical path and delay analysis techniques.
• Awareness of claims management and standard forms of contracts.
• A competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• A current driving licence for occasional travel to project sites in the UK and Ireland.

Projects in development, construction, or operation in the UK and Ireland, include more than:

We are now looking to recruit a experienced engineering planner, in a permanent capacity, to support ongoing project roles in the delivery of major power generation infrastructure projects and support the continuous improvement of the services we provide to our clients. Ideally, this role will be based from our Manchester location.

We are looking for:

A high calibre candidate with most of the following skills or experience:

• A HND or bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering subject.
• Looking for a permanent role, working full time hours.
• Located within a reasonable commute of our Stockport, Greater Manchester office to be present in the office 3 days a week.
