Our continued success in delivering for many of the UK’s leading utility providers and major infrastructure developers is bringing significant growth across our team. If you care about your community and want to be involved in delivering improvements to the environment and infrastructure, then we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our Major Projects Delivery team.

We are currently seeking a Project Planner with experience in Primavera P6 to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different technical disciplines, primarily focusing on water sector projects. The role can be based in any Stantec UK office, with hybrid working arrangements allowing a mix of in-office and remote work.

As a Project Planner, you will develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, track progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions proactively. You will also use your experience to identify and mitigate risks that could impact the project timeline.

You will join a growing, collaborative team working alongside project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About You

You should have a proven track record of managing complex projects and programs using Primavera P6, with prior experience or understanding of the UK water industry being advantageous. You should be comfortable working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and capable of sharing your knowledge and mentoring less experienced colleagues. Additionally, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience managing complex programs with Primavera P6
  • Ability to manage changes in P6 in line with contractual and client requirements
  • A solid understanding of design and construction sequencing
  • Familiarity with NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts
