A leading contractor in the Midlands is seeking a Planner with on-site construction experience for multiple rail and water projects. The successful candidate will manage the contract programme, ensure compliance with NEC contracts, and collaborate with site teams. This long-term contract offers a competitive rate outside IR35.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Engineer or Agent, capable of reading drawings and specifications.
  • Experience as a planner on water and rail projects in the Midlands.
  • Familiarity with working under Tier 1 Contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the contract programme update cycle with progress and changes.
  • Maintain existing project controls and review subcontractor programmes for NEC compliance.
  • Work closely with Project Manager and Engineering team.

Job description

Your new company
You will be joining a contractor working in the rail and water industry across the Midlands.


Your new role
You will be working as a Planner on multiple projects where you will have full responsibility for the contract programme update cycle which has been developed. Therefore, you will maintain it with progress and change. You will maintain existing project controls and assist in the review of subcontractor programmes to ensure compliance with NEC. Furthermore, you will be reading drawings, specifications and contracts working very closely with the site team which such as the Project Manager and Engineering team.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need on-site construction experience as an Engineer or Agent as you will be reading drawings, specifications and contracts. Additionally, you will be familiar with working on NEC model contracts under the employment of a Tier 1 Contractor. Furthermore, you will have experience of P6 and as a planner on water and rail projects in the Midlands area.
