Job Title: Project Planner (Marine Defence)

Location: On-site in Rugby, UK
Start Date: ASAP - Contract basis
End Date: 1 March 2026
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Engagement Type: Inside IR35 - Hourly Rate
Onshore/Offshore: Onshore

Job Overview:

The Project Planner (Marine Defence) will play a key role in delivering project planning, scheduling, and risk management activities for a high-profile marine defence programme. This position is critical to ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with defence and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Collaborate with project, engineering, and sourcing teams to ensure alignment on timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Support risk analysis and schedule impact assessments
  • Monitor project progress and maintain accurate forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with marine and defence industry security protocols
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to support project controls and decision-making
  • British citizen with a valid British passport and no dual nationality
  • Eligible for, or currently holding, SC Clearance
  • Substantial experience in project planning, scheduling, and risk management, specifically:
  • Within high-security and/or marine industries
  • In complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including suppliers and contractors
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working within restricted or classified environments
  • Familiarity with defence sector security standards and protocols
