SR2 REC LTD is seeking a Project Planner / Programme Planner for a Defence programme in Corsham. You will develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule, track milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery performance, and provide governance reporting.

Active SC clearance and sole UK nationality are required. The role is typically 2–3 days onsite in Corsham, with a daily rate of £500 inside IR35 for a 6‑month contract.

Project Planner - Defence Programme

£500 per day, Inside IR35 | Full-time Contract | Corsham - 2-3 days onsite | Active SC Required

SR2 is partnering with an exciting client operating within the Defence sector to identify an experienced Project Planner / Programme Planner for a major programme of work.

This opportunity requires active SC clearance and sole UK nationality. You'll work closely with programme stakeholders to establish and maintain an accurate, integrated programme plan, providing clear visibility of milestones, dependencies, risks, resources and delivery performance.

What you'll be doing:

• Coordinate and facilitate planning sessions with key programme stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a single version of the truth across programme planning artefacts.
• Build and maintain resource-loaded project/programme schedules.
• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Define activities, milestones, dependencies, assumptions, risks and resource requirements.
• Conduct Critical Path Analysis and provide clear reporting on schedule performance.
• Maintain programme baselines and track/report variances against baseline.
• Analyse schedule health, risks, dependencies and overall programme performance.
• Integrate risk mitigation activities directly into programme schedules.
• Develop and maintain Plan on a Page programme views.
• Coordinate monthly planning reviews and provide programme assurance.
• Produce governance reporting with clear narrative around performance against baseline.
• Support and develop junior members of the planning team.

What you'll need:

• Strong Project or Programme Planning experience within complex delivery environments.
• Active SC clearance.
• Sole UK nationality.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules.
• Excellent knowledge of Critical Path Analysis, baselining and variance reporting.
• Experience with resource-loaded schedules.
• Strong understanding of risks, dependencies, assumptions and milestone management.
• Confidence engaging senior programme stakeholders and facilitating planning sessions.
• Experience producing programme governance and performance reporting.
• Previous Defence / MOD / secure programme experience would be highly advantageous.
