Job summary

A leading main contractor is seeking a Project Planner to join their civil rail sector for the prestigious HS2 project in London. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, at least 2 years of planning experience, and familiarity with planning software such as P6. This role offers clear progression paths onto more senior roles alongside a competitive salary package ranging from £50,000 to £70,000.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a planner with a main contractor.
  • Degree qualification in civil engineering or similar is essential.
  • Experience in an engineering background is imperative.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of schedule data for tenders and contracts.
  • Work with Project Managers to determine schedule dates.
  • Establish work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects.
  • Attend programme & progress meetings with Clients.
  • Review and analyse supplier's schedules submitted.

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 + pkg

Location: London

Ideal Candidate
  • Be Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Must come from an engineering background, this is imperative.
  • Have at least 2 years experience as a planner with a main contractor
  • Be able to use a variety of Planning software including P6
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of schedule data for tenders and contracts
  • Work with Project Managers to determine schedule dates for work activities and milestones to support the project schedule
  • Establish work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects
  • Attend programme & progress meetings with Client
  • Review and analyse the supplier’s schedules submitted
