Project Planner / Senior Planner

Based West Sussex RH6 0NP OR Kent ME3 / Hybrid

Rate to £500 a day

Are you an experienced Senior Planner with a civil engineering background seeking a challenging and rewarding role within the civil engineering sector? An esteemed market leader is looking for a dedicated professional to take on a pivotal position in their team. This is a unique chance to contribute to a high-profile project at Gatwick Airport, involving multi-million-pound substation and civil engineering works.

In this role, the Senior Planner will be required to ensure the successful planning and execution of complex engineering tasks. The position demands a meticulous individual with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with NEC contracts and proficiency in Primavera P6 software, both of which are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
2. Ensure all planning activities comply with NEC contract requirements.
3. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
4. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
5. Prepare regular progress reports and present findings to senior management.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Demonstrable experience as a Senior Planner within the civil engineering sector.
2. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and a thorough understanding of NEC contracts.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
