Job description

Job Title: Project Planner

Client: BAE Systems

Location: Glasgow

Contract Type: 6-Month Contingent Contract (with the opportunity to be extended)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Hourly Rate: £31.03 PAYE or £41.73 Umbrella

Security Clearance: BPSS

About the Role

You will be tasked with creating, maintaining, and controlling the project and delivery schedules, including monitoring and reporting of project status. Actively work to resolve scheduling issues, working with internal and external stakeholders to formulate recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Have a clear understanding and application of the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation, e.g., Process Instructions, Risk Assessments, etc., applicable to your work scope, and obey all HS&E rules.
  • Provide planning and scheduling expertise in the creation of schedules to support project execution.
  • Produce high-level project status information and other required reports.
  • Support the introduction of key major initiatives into the business through planning and scheduling expertise.
  • Proactively identify and provide feedback on opportunities to enhance continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of planning and scheduling policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Professional experience in planning and scheduling within projects.
  • Understanding of the projects' specifics and context.
  • Knowledge of planning/scheduling tools, techniques, and practices.
  • Understanding of the business environment related to the project.
  • Experience with project governance and assurance processes, such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
