Project Planner – Energy Sector Construction

Hybrid (travel to Nottingham, Liverpool + other UK sites)

12-Month Contract | Inside IR35

Competitive Rate | End of April Start

We’re looking for an experienced Project Planner to support major construction projects in the energy sector. Working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you’ll take ownership of programme planning using MS Project, helping keep complex, high-value infrastructure work on track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed project programmes using MS Project
  • Integrate subcontractor and internal schedules into an overall plan
  • Track progress, flag risks, and support contingency planning
  • Liaise with PMs, engineers, surveyors, and clients to ensure accuracy
  • Produce reports, forecasts, and support with delay notices/extensions
  • Assist with resource planning across multiple live projects

What You’ll Need:

  • Relevant degree or solid experience in a project planning role
  • Strong background in construction (energy/infrastructure ideal)
  • High proficiency with MS Project and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Understanding of HSSE and CDM
  • Full UK driving licence + flexibility to travel
