The Role:

As a Project Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules for large-scale, time-sensitive projects.
  • Using scheduling software such as Primavera or MS Project to manage timelines effectively.
  • Identifying potential delays and implementing recovery plans with built-in contingencies.
  • Coordinating live updates with customers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to manage expectations.
  • Conducting accurate time and resource estimations while adapting plans to unexpected disruptions.
  • Producing reports on milestone slippage, critical path analysis, and resource demand & availability.
  • Presenting schedule variance analysis and triggering exception reports as necessary.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A strong ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and variables.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools for project planning.
  • An understanding of project specifications and estimator’s breakdowns.
  • Proven ability to create accurate labour forecasts and conduct critical path analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
