Job summary

SEA Ltd is seeking a Project Planner to provide professional planning and scheduling support across SEA portfolios. The role can be based at Beckington, Bristol or Barnstaple with flexible working.

You will establish and maintain detailed schedules, support baselines, report progress, and help teams identify risks and recovery actions. SEA develops advanced naval and undersea surveillance systems worldwide, delivering rapid response and safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated project planning and scheduling experience on complex programmes or projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining logic-linked schedules in MS Project or equivalent tool.
  • Experience with progress measurement, forecast maintenance, and schedule performance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of linked scope, schedule, cost, risk and change relationships.
  • Desirable: APMP/APM qualification or equivalent in project planning and control.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain detailed and logically linked project schedules.
  • Support development and maintenance of performance measurement baselines at bid and delivery.
  • Provide schedule analysis, progress reporting and performance insights for decisions.
  • Identify schedule risks, opportunities, assumptions and dependencies and develop mitigation actions.

Project Planner will be based at either our Beckington, Bristol or Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working.

The salary for this role is circa £50k, depending on experience.

Whatyou’llbedoing
  • Establish and maintain detailed and logically linked project schedules, including integrated and master schedules where required
  • Support the development and maintenance of Performance Measurement Baselines at bid stage and through authorised re-baselining during delivery
  • Provide clear schedule analysis, progress reporting and performance insight to support timely, evidence-based decisions
  • Help delivery teams identify schedule risks, opportunities, assumptions and dependencies, and develop practical recovery or mitigation actions

Theskills you need
  • Demonstrable project planning and scheduling experience on complex programmes or projects
  • Practical experience developing and maintaining logic-linked schedules in Microsoft Project or an equivalent enterprise scheduling tool
  • Experience of progress measurement, forecast maintenance, critical-path analysis and schedule performance reporting
  • Working knowledge of integrated project controls and the relationships between scope, schedule, resource, cost, risk and change.
  • Experience supporting baseline development, change control and re-baselining within a controlled project environment
  • An engineering, defence, maritime or other high-assurance delivery background is desirable.
  • APM PMQ, APMG Project Planning and Control qualification, or an equivalent project-management or project-controls qualification is desirable - Candidates working towards relevant accreditation will be considered
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, schedule risk analysis, Acumen Fuse, Power BI or equivalent analysis and reporting tools would be advantageous
