We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Project Planner, to be involved in industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.
A project planer works as part of project delivery team and will be accountable for the development and maintenance of work package schedule(s). The project planner will be the planning and scheduling SME and will support the team, gain their buy in, during the building robust work package schedule(s) that capture 100% of work scope. The work package schedules must be built in accordance with SMR planning processes and guidelines. Once a robust, fit for purpose schedule is established and baselined, it is the role of the project planner to update the schedule(s) in accordance with the progress of work scope completed to date. The project planner will also have the accountability to analyse the schedule data by checking progress forecast dates Vs baseline dates and then use this data advise to aid decision making within the project team on corrective actions.

Key Selection Criteria
Leading a team
- Experience of working in a planning team environment
- Experience of coaching and mentoring
- Experience in providing training to junior staff on the role and associated processes
Knowledge and experience of working within an integrated programme
- Knowledge, experience of the structure and reporting of a Master Integrated Plan (MIP) or Integrated Master Plan (IMS) and its associated Integrated milestone schedule (Horizontal and Vertical Logic)
- Working with key stakeholders within the integrated Programme (Engineering, Supply Chain & Procurement, Programme Management, Operations and Manufacture)
Knowledge of project management tools, systems, and process
- Knowledge and experience of Primavera P6 (both front end scheduling and architecture (WBS, Resource dictionary, coding, and user defined fields)
- Knowledge and experience of Earned Value Management and EVM systems
- Knowledge and experience of change management and baseline change control
Technical knowledge of Nuclear, Engineering programmes
- Knowledge and experience of working in the Nuclear sector
- Knowledge and experience of working on complex programmes
- Knowledge and experience in Engineering design maturity
Pay And Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE plus:-
- Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
- Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
- Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
- Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
- Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
- Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
- £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
