You will be a key part of the team delivering new Army Basic training facilities at Pirbright under Defence Estate Optimisation.
The role involves developing and maintaining programmes, project control, accurate reporting, and forecasting. Reporting to the Project Planning Lead, you will be responsible for programme reporting controls and developing plans and programmes for the project.

What will the role look like?
- Provide leadership for the planning and coordination processes.
- Implement and maintain the requirements of the Project Business Plan.
- Ensure that all programmes are compliant with the project requirements.
- Develop and agree, by collaboration, a logical sequence of events ensuring the most economical/advantageous construction strategy is adopted.
- Analyse performance, advise the project team of likely impacts, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure that the construction strategy and any recommended improvements are communicated effectively.
- Provide leadership, support, and training, contributing to career development.
- Coordinate all time-related information for stakeholders, partners, and supply chain.
- Represent the project/business with all stakeholders.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required by the project/business.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Engage proactively with other departments.
- Develop knowledge of strategic planning and project/program management systems.
- Understand how to establish and implement project controls systems to comply with Laing O'Rourke iGMS and integrate these with client system requirements.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Experience with project management systems and techniques.
- Contract planning expertise.
- Pre-contract planning and work control experience.
- Proficiency in P6 and Asta Powerproject planning software.
Qualifications
- HNC / Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar sector-related field.
- CIOB Membership.
- Experience in developing relationships with clients' representatives.
- Contributions to pre-contract planning, work winning, and related processes.
