Job Description

At Tetra Tech, you will work with high-performing teams passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems in water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, defence, energy, and international development.

We are recruiting experienced Project Planners to work within our Project Controls team on a series of security, defence, and nuclear sector projects.

About You:

You will be an experienced project planner and scheduler, undertaking planning and scheduling functions and performance monitoring. This includes:

  1. Development and updating of programmes.
  2. Submission of NEC-compliant programmes for acceptance.
  3. Using the principles of DCMA/CIOB Protocol to undertake integrity checks on supply chain and 3rd party programmes.
  4. Maintenance, control, analysis, and recovery-plan activities through all stages of the Project Life Cycle.

You will be capable of planning and scheduling major infrastructure, new build, and refurbishment construction projects, including those with significant non-routine requirements. You should be proficient in developing programmes from first principles, comfortable with three-point estimates of time, time risk allowances, and risk-adjusted programmes.

We seek an agile practitioner who can build relationships, communicate effectively with project teams, and bring innovative problem-solving approaches to scheduling. Qualifications such as MACOSTE, MCIOB, MAPM, or equivalent are desirable.

You should demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard planning software, with training available if needed. Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project (including POL), and Asta Powerproject is required. Experience with Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and Monte Carlo simulations (using Primavera Risk Analysis, Predict!, RiskHive Arrisca) is advantageous.

Experience at the project level is essential, and familiarity with Defence sector projects is highly desirable. Ability to obtain security clearance is required.
