Ferrovial Construction is looking for an experienced Project Planner to support infrastructure projects at Heathrow Airport.

About Ferrovial Construction at Heathrow:

Ferrovial Construction has been working at Heathrow Airport for over 12 years, delivering complex infrastructure projects with high standards of quality, safety, and environmental care. Our focus is on design and build projects with various contractual arrangements, allowing us to refine our management procedures in line with Heathrow’s Employer Requirements and our internal systems.

Since joining Heathrow’s framework in 2008, we have completed numerous airside and landside projects, such as new taxiways, rehabilitated taxiways, and the southern runway. We have also redeveloped sterile and grass areas and replaced critical assets like fire mains, fuel mains, and HV ducts. Currently, we are rehabilitating assets with expired design lives and planning future runway resurfacing projects, engaging with stakeholders to optimize value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and update monthly the Reporting Baseline (RB) for a portfolio of projects, following instructions from PMIs / CEs.
• Develop and maintain the monthly Progress Programme, including narrative reports, project performance analysis, critical path, and schedule updates, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate external parties involved in progress activities (commercial, planning, site teams) to establish realistic programme logic.
• Act as an expert Planner and scheduler, proficient in Primavera P6 and familiar with cost loading programmes.
• Manage and ensure effective earned value management.
• Promote company values in dealings with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and external contacts.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience as a planner on large-scale projects.
• Experience in developing design, procurement, civil works, M&E, fit-out, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Extensive experience with Primavera P6, including cost and resource loading.
• Experience with time/distance programmes.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Responsive to tender deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
• Desirable: experience with Tilos and ChainLink.
• Desirable: experience working in large organizations.
