Job summary

Lanes Group is recruiting a Project Engineer for our Crawley, West Sussex location. You’ll operate drainage and jetting equipment, follow health and safety requirements and support the Project Supervisor on jetting and vacuumation tasks.

The role includes regular equipment checks, RAMS preparation under supervision, and occasional Ad-hoc tasks. A valid HGV license and site/drainage experience are required, with full PPE provided and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• HGV license holder with site and drainage experience.
• Experience with jetting equipment and high-pressure water jetting.
• Awareness of RAMS, risk assessments and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean drains, sewers and pipework.
• Ensure all H&S requirements are followed.
• Assist the Project Supervisor on jetting/vacuumation units and RAMS under supervision.
• Maintain rotating equipment patterns and operate required HGV vehicles.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and ad-hoc site tasks.

Project Engineer

Salary: £16.50 p/h

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am - 4:00pm

Location: Crawley - West Sussex

Holidays: 21 days plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery.


• Ensure all H&S requirements are followed.


• Assisting the Project Supervisor working on and operating our combined sewer jetting/vacuumation units to carry out jetting and vacuumation works.


• Rotating equipment pattern.


• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipework.


• Remove waste materials from the waste water.


• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness.


• Learn to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) under supervision.


• Maintain and operate the required HGV vehicles on the project.


• Ad-hoc tasks given by the Project manager.
