Seaway7 is seeking a new Project Operations Engineer responsible for the transportation and marshalling of cables, based in our Aberdeen office on a permanent staff basis.

This role involves developing expertise in Ports, Vessel Owners, and Contractors specializing in cable handling. You will manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure the safe transportation and storage of cables from manufacturing to installation.

Responsibilities:

1. Define and oversee the strategy for subsea cable transportation and marshalling, including equipment mobilization, procedures, certification, and safety.
2. Determine project-specific transportation and marshalling requirements, including equipment, yard parameters, budget, and resources.
3. Select third-party vessels/yards, prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), and review technical proposals.
4. Manage procedures, documentation, and negotiations related to transpooling operations and load management.
5. Assess and select suitable transport vessels and marshalling yards/ports, manage equipment design and supply, and produce cable stacking plans.
6. Oversee load-in/load-out activities, ensuring readiness and mobilization.
7. Coordinate with the Vessel Delivery Manager and ensure safety, health, and quality standards at onshore sites.

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the offshore sector or related field/site work, such as civils.
• Skilled in coordinating support services and subcontractors.
• Fluent in English.
