Location:Birmingham
Contract: 6 Months


We are currently partnering with a dynamic public sector organisation undergoing an exciting transformation within its Commercial and Procurement function. As part of this restructure, we are seeking an experienced Project Officer to provide high-level support across senior leadership and strategic initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective Senior Leadership Team (SLT) rhythms, reporting structures, and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings, including agenda planning and content development.
  • Lead on risk management activities, ensuring risks are identified, tracked, and mitigated.
  • Own and manage the action log, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Provide dedicated project support to SLT and strategic programmes.
  • Support the development and delivery of staff communication and engagement strategies.
  • Draft high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Apply strong project management principles to drive delivery and outcomes.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar project officer or business management role, ideally within the public sector.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities.
  • Skilled in risk management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
