Job summary

Tate is seeking a Projects Officer to support delivery of a high-profile, multi-agency data and improvement programme in Stevenage. The role pays £20.46 per hour for a 37-hour week on a temporary contract until December 2026.

You will coordinate governance activities, monitor progress, manage project documentation, and support delivery to agreed timelines while working with internal teams and external partners.

  • Assisting with wider improvement projects as required.

Projects Officer

£20.46 per hour


37 Hours Per Week


Office based- Stevenage SG1


Temporary Contract until December 2026


We're looking for a Projects Officer to support the delivery of a high-profile, multi-agency data and improvement programme. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in coordinating project activity, managing stakeholder relationships, and helping deliver meaningful service improvements.


Working with a wide range of teams and partner organisations, you'll help ensure projects stay on track by coordinating governance activities, monitoring progress, managing project documentation, and supporting delivery against agreed timelines.


Key responsibilities:


  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, governance arrangements, and project activities.

  • Managing project plans, action logs, risk registers, and reporting documentation.

  • Working closely with internal teams and external partners to support project delivery.

  • Monitoring milestones, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues where needed.

Desirable Skills


  • PRINCE2 Foundation, APM, or equivalent project management qualification.
