Job description

This is a temporary, full-time vacancy that will close in 12 days at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy

Malaria Consortium is recruiting a Project Officer to join our team in Ethiopia. The role will be based within South Ethiopia, Wolaita zone, in 2 districts.

The postholder will be responsible for providing technical support, coordination, and implementation of all project activities in their respective project zone and districts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's in Field Epidemiology, MPH, or related health disciplines
• At least 5 years’ experience working on Malaria Surveillance and outbreak emergency response
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
• Familiarity with the Ethiopian health system
• Experience working with government and non-government partners to deliver project objectives
• A qualification in public health and project management
• Knowledge of malaria elimination strategies, emergency response, prevention, and control policies
• Experience designing and implementing behaviour change communication activities
• Experience working in community-based activities
• Flexible and adaptable to various working conditions
• Capable of working with tight timelines
• Work experience in South Ethiopia is preferable
