Project Officer - East England - £45,196 to £56,000 + Company Car

The Operations team maintains, repairs, and upgrades 7,666 km of high-pressure pipe, 23 compressor stations, 504 above-ground installations, and 8 connected distribution networks through a highly skilled team of over 600 technicians and engineers across Great Britain. As an integral part of the regional delivery team, the Project Officer drives value by ensuring that Contractors’ construction activities align with National Gas policy and contractual requirements.
Your responsibilities include reviewing risk assessments and method statements, undertaking safety inspections, issuing permits, with a focus on delivering a safe, technically compliant project while maintaining a commercial mindset.
Projects will mainly focus on Pipeline, AGI & Compressor Station activities across the National Transmission System.
To be successful in this role, it would be advantageous to have a good understanding of Rotating Equipment, CDM Regulations, Safety and Environmental legislation, practices, and policies. Having project management skills and previous experience of project site management is important.
An Electrical or Instrumentation background, along with obtaining or working towards EL96 and CompEx qualifications, would be advantageous.
Travel will be part of the job; most weeks, you will be traveling to sites or offices across the patch. It is therefore essential you hold a full UK driving licence and are a good planner.
