Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Workflow & Orchestration initiative in London. This hybrid role involves coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver a global transformation program with time-bound milestones.

As part of the Operations unit, you will manage end-to-end delivery, governance, risks, budgets, and stakeholder alignment across markets and services, ensuring successful deployment of the Target Operating Model.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large transformation programs in investment banking or global markets.

• Hybrid delivery experience blending Agile and Waterfall methods.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Execution: Define, structure, and execute the project plan for the data orchestration roll-out from initiation to closure.
• Governance & Milestone Management: Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and report delivery health to leadership.
• Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues across boundaries.
• Financial & Resource Management: Track spend and optimize global resource allocations.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Alignment: Act as the central contact for executives and data governance leads.
• Business Readiness & Deployment: Oversee readiness, cutover tracking, and change management for transition to the new framework.

Project Manager - Workflow & Orchestration

Location:London – Hybrid/3 days in office

This is anexciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one ofour clients.

The Workflow& Orchestration program is a high-visibility, multi-year global transformationinitiative within Markets & Securities Services Operations. The program is dedicated tomigrating legacy, manual data processes into a highly automated, modernizedcentralized orchestration framework.

As the ProjectManager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution,
and delivery ofthis critical transformation portfolio. You will orchestrate cross functional teams.of business analysts, data engineers, and operations specialists. Your focus will be ondriving project milestones, managing budgets, mitigating delivery risks, and ensuring theseamless implementation of the Target Operating Model (TOM) across globalasset classes on time and within scope.

KeyResponsibilities:

• End-to-EndProject Execution: Define, structure, and execute the comprehensive projectplan for the data orchestration roll-out. Own the delivery lifecycle frominitiation and resource planning through to deployment and project closure.
  
• Governance& Milestone Management: Establish robust project governance structures.Monitor progress against critical path milestones, manage dependencies acrossintersecting bank programs, and report delivery health to steering committeesand senior leadership.
  
• Risk,Issue & Dependency Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigateproject risks and issues (RAID log management). Resolve complex bottlenecksacross technical and operational business boundaries to ensure uninterruptedproject momentum.
  
• Financial& Resource Management: Manage the project budget, tracking actual spendagainst forecasts. Optimize global resource allocations across multiple deliverypods to ensure maximum productivity and cost-effective transformation.
  
• StakeholderCoordination & Alignment: Serve as the central point of contact for globaloperations executives, technology delivery heads, and data governance leads.Navigate the bank’s matrixed environment to ensure unified alignment on projecttimelines and deliverables.
  
• BusinessReadiness & Deployment: Oversee the operational readiness, cutovertracking, and change management strategies required to decommission legacyworkflows and smoothly transition global teams to the new orchestrated framework.
  

Experience& Skills Required

• ProjectManagement Expertise: Minimum of 8 years of formal Project Managementexperience within an Investment Banking or Global Markets environment, with aproven track record of successfully steering large-scale operationaltransformation, system migrations, or automation initiatives.
  
• Methodology& Certifications: Mastery of project management methodologies, withpractical experience blending Agile/Scrum execution with traditional Waterfallgovernance (Hybrid delivery). Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2,or Agile Project Management (AgilePM) is highly desirable.
  
• Transformation& Leadership: Strong commercial acumen and experience using structuredchange management frameworks. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, andconflict-resolution skills to drive global, culturally diverse teams.
  
• Solidunderstanding of the operational complexities within Markets & SecuritiesServices (MSS) or Traded Risk.
  
• Strongconceptual familiarity with data infrastructure delivery, including workflow/orchestrationengines, data pipeline modernizations, and cloud/on-premises data migrationprojects.
