Job Title: Project Manager with Secretariat Skills
Location:Remote (with occasional in-person meetings in and around London)
Contract Type:Full-time, permanent (with flexible options available for the right candidate)
Salary:£50,000 - £60,000

We’re a small, dedicated non-profit team working to support and engage with communities and stakeholders impacted by Heathrow Airport.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactiveProject Manager with Secretariat Skillsto lead the coordination of key projects, steer external consultants, and ensure clear and timely communication across our team and Board. This will require a balance of strategic oversight and operational detail and would be ideal for someone who thrives in a remote working environment and enjoys being at the heart of a dynamic and focused small team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the original scope. You will also play a central role in preparing briefings, updating the team and other stakeholders, as well as supporting broader work streams, including secretariat support to forum meetings and the coordination of events.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Manage and monitor progress across a number of projects and workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and brief external consultants to ensure outputs are aligned with project goals.
  • Track spend and deliver regular updates to the team and Board.

Secretariat Support & Communication

  • Prepare and present clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organise and document project and governance meetings, including preparing agendas, taking high-quality notes, and tracking actions.
  • Maintain effective communication channels to ensure alignment and momentum.

Team & Organisational Contribution

  • Collaborate across the team, contributing to the wider workstreams as needed.
  • Be a proactive member of the remote working team culture, fostering positive and productive relationships and clarity.

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience inproject management, particularly with remote teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability tosteer and manage external consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Experienced in providing high level secretariat support to meetings.
  • Exceptionalwritten and verbal communicationskills.
  • Highly organisedwith strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to see the big picture, make connections, and help projects and workstreams align to the organisational goals
  • Comfortable with tracking budgets and preparing project updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive, flexible, and happy to help out beyond a strict job description.
  • Strong self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with Boards or senior leadership teams.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit, public sector, or consultancy environment.
