This role will see you join a talented and dedicated team delivering Hard Facilities Management Services within the highly secure environment of the Ministry of Defence’s main headquarters in London.

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to oversee contract variations, change, and capital works projects from inception to completion, including income-generating work, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves working collaboratively with stakeholders as part of an integrated team, adhering to Skanska and client systems of work.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage variations, change, and capital projects, including design management, temporary works, estimating, ordering materials and plant, resource planning, and implementing direct or contract labor.
  • Lead project meetings such as requirement gathering, design review, pre-start, progress, and handover meetings.
  • Coordinate with the Contract and Commercial team to ensure timely completion of quotations within project KPIs and performance systems.
  • Ensure the quality of the built works, manage remedial works, and sign off completed works. Review and authorize subcontractor payments.
  • Act as Principal Contractor and/or Principal Designer in accordance with CDM regulations 2015 when authorized.
  • Manage project information, including H&S files, O&M manuals, drawings in AutoCAD, and other documentation to meet statutory and contractual requirements.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Minimum of HNC (Building/Mechanical/Electrical) or relevant Degree plus 10 years’ experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • H&S qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.
  • CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in software including AutoCAD 2013, Access, MS Project, Visio, and familiarity with MIS and Asset Database systems.
  • Experience in electronic management and storage of project documentation, including invoicing and cost recovery.
  • Proven leadership and management skills overseeing diverse contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and experience fulfilling Principal Contractor roles.

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may require higher National Security Vetting. Residency requirements apply for certain projects/sites, and dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Ineligibility for clearance may disqualify candidates from this role.
