Job description
Overview

Project Manager (262jc) – Remote, Midlands based covering the UK – up to £55k + car + Benefits. This client, one of the UK’s leading companies in the Fuel Storage Solutions sector, is looking for a RE Pet Op SNCO or equivalent to join their expanding team due to increasing projects.

Responsibilities
  • Visiting clients to understand their needs and requirements, supplying quotes that are accurate and commercially viable.
  • After award of contract, manage the full project lifecycle: create and deliver project work plans, and revise as needed in collaboration with the sales and operations team.
  • Identify resources, assign responsibilities, and manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).
  • Work with customers and suppliers to define and document questions; liaise with business and other stakeholders.
  • Submit project status reports to stakeholders; anticipate and react to change.
  • Incorporate Health and Safety considerations in all aspects of the project.
  • Provide regular project updates on the CRM system.
  • Ensure work is delivered within budget.
  • Conduct site visits as required; report progress and ensure milestone reviews and payments are completed and followed up.
  • Ensure all work complies with rules, regulations, policies, procedures and relevant Health and Safety legislation and approved codes of practice.
  • Understand, adhere to, and accept Risk Assessments and Method Statements; complete Dynamic Risk Assessments.
  • Co-operate with line management to ensure personnel, contractors, and visitors comply with site rules.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop equipment, plant and systems to improve safety, health, environmental and quality standards and operational efficiency.
  • Report faults on plant, equipment and infrastructure to line management as they occur.
  • Carry out regular training as deemed appropriate and assist others with training needs.
Qualifications and Skills
  • IT literate.
  • Active listener with interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making capability.
  • Resource and time management.
  • Holding Prince 2, CSCS or SMSTS would be desirable.
  • SC preferred.
  • Ability to undertake overnight stays on occasion.
  • Ideal candidate may be a Pet Op with experience in the design and construction of fixed fuel facilities, likely from Royal Engineer or RAF/RN background.
  • Due to MoD site locations, ability to gain and hold SC Clearance is crucial; candidates with current SC clearance have an advantage.
