Overview:
VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a key player in Northern Ireland's utilities sector to appoint a Project Manager with experience in complex, contract-focused environments. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Networks Leadership team, offering involvement in high-impact energy infrastructure projects.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in contract delivery or programme coordination within regulated industries such as utilities, power generation, or environmental services. You'll be at the centre of transformative energy projects that support Northern Ireland's shift toward a low-carbon future.

Why Apply?

  • Hybrid working (3 days in office)

  • On-site parking & free lunches

  • Long-term career growth in a future-facing sector

  • Market-leading benefits package

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of commercial connection agreements related to strategic infrastructure projects (e.g. large-scale generation, energy storage, and grid-demand initiatives)

  • Serve as the primary liaison between external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure a seamless contract negotiation and project onboarding process

  • Prepare and deliver detailed contractual documents including transmission system usage offers and grid access terms

  • Ensure full compliance across contractual obligations by both parties and maintain continuous audit-ready documentation

  • Coordinate technical input from engineers and system planners into commercial agreements

  • Drive updates to policy frameworks and commercial models in line with new legislation and the evolving energy landscape

  • Work closely with colleagues across regulatory, engineering, and planning divisions to refine processes and improve service delivery

What You'll Bring:

  • Degree (or equivalent qualification) and minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant role

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Commercial awareness and customer-first mindset

  • Proven experience in project or contract delivery, ideally in fast-paced or deadline-driven settings

Preferred (Not Essential):

  • Background in utility or energy infrastructure

  • Familiarity with grid systems, regulated contract structures, or technical documentation

  • Prior involvement in policy development or regulatory compliance
