Omexom Nuclear Projects is the business unit of VINCI Energies Nuclear Activity dedicated to the International Nuclear Power Plant New-Built programmes.

Omexom Nuclear Projects works closely with its customers to deliver Electrical Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, as well as Electrical ‘Design Only’ work packages.

Our UK branch, ISDEL Energy Limited, based in Aztek West, Bristol, has around 6 employees with a turnover of £1M. The overall ONP team comprises approximately 100 employees with a turnover of £12M.

As part of the UK Nuclear Power Plant New-Built programmes, ONP delivers the General Plant Electrical Services Installation (IEG) Execution Design Contract for Hinkley Point C (HPC 1 & 2) and prepares the replication strategy for Sizewell C (SZC 1 & 2).

Due to growth, Omexom Nuclear Projects is seeking a Project Manager for the UK Market.

The role reports to two lines:

  • Business Operations: UK Branch Operations Manager, focusing on administration, business development, tenders, and opportunity management.
  • Projects Operations: Once contracts are signed, reporting to the Project Director.

Future Missions:

The role will focus on UK market tenders, projects, and opportunities, especially on HPC contract management, external interface development, and leading SZC studies and tenders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing contract risks, opportunities, and their mitigation.
  • Supporting commercial acceptance of proposals and variations.
  • Overseeing orders and work packages, including subcontractor management.
  • Ensuring contract change and configuration control efficiency.

Commercial Management duties include:

  • Developing and improving Commercial Management Plans, Processes, and Procedures.
  • Providing commercial advice, training, and support to stakeholders.
  • Leading or supporting contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Ensuring contract and subcontract certification completion.

The role involves building strong client and partner relationships, reporting on project progress, and collaborating with various departments.

Candidate Profile:

Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in contract and project management, be collaborative, and capable of leading or coordinating teams to success.

Strengths:

Hard skills include project/contract management, engineering or technical knowledge, commercial and procurement expertise, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, VBA, and PowerBI. Soft skills include analytical ability, communication, organization, and working under pressure. Language skills in English (required) and French (desirable). Willingness to travel within the UK and to France and clients.
