Brief Description

Who are we looking for?

A highly motivated and skilled individual who is determined to play an active role in improving the timetable for our passengers and freight users. Strong project management skills and experience including organisation and communication skills. This will include role modelling our cultural pillars of 'Better Together', 'Yes we can', 'Enjoyable Workplace' and 'Feeling Safe'. We value the contribution of all members of our team and are seeking a new addition who can add to our strong team.

About the team...

Within Timetable Production we are the team who leads on the co-ordination, monitoring and reporting of the delivery of the timetable and the development of our people. We lead on improvement projects which focus on technology, data, people and processes to achieve our vision to be industry leaders delivering high performing timetables for passengers and freight end users.

What does the average day look like?

On an average day, you will be involved in delivering projects safely to time and quality, This will involve project monitoring across the amended timetable development process, data, and documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Network Code.

In addition to the above, you will lead a range of improvement initiatives that focus of timetable improvements through technology, data, process and people development. This will include working with a range of stakeholders and customers.

Essential Criteria

• Expert knowledge of train planning systems and processes, including relevant sections of Access Conditions

• Detailed understanding of the railway industry, contractual matrix and regulatory regime

• Ability to demonstrate understanding of train service structure and commercial and practical implications of implementing changes to the timetable

• Proven analytical skills
