Job summary

Centreco is a leading UK commercial solar energy specialist delivering end-to-end solutions, from design through to installation and ongoing management. The Solar Installation Project Manager will own projects from contract award to handover, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence while coordinating clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

The role requires proven solar project experience, strong communication skills, and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience within solar or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of commercial solar PV systems and project delivery.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and multiple project sites.
• Knowledge of DNO grid application processes, including G98/G99 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of commercial solar PV projects across the UK, including rooftop, ground-mount and carport installations.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, monitor milestones, risks and critical paths.
• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
• Manage project budgets, control costs, monitor variations and report financial performance to senior management.
• Support DNO applications and grid connection processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards (G98/G99, MCS, BS 7671).
• Appoint, manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Build strong client relationships, lead meetings and provide project updates throughout delivery.
• Ensure CDM 2015 compliance and maintain health, safety and quality standards on sites.

What you’ll be doing

Managing the end-to-end delivery of commercial solar PV projects, including rooftop, ground-mountand carport installations.

Developing andmaintainingprojectprogrammes, monitoring milestones,risksand critical paths to ensure successful project delivery.

Coordinating design, procurement, construction,commissioningand handover activities.

Managing project budgets, controlling costs,monitoringvariationsand reporting financial performance to senior management.

Supporting DNO applications and grid connection processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards including G98/G99, MCS and BS 7671.

Appointing,managingand coordinating subcontractors,suppliersand multi-disciplinary project teams.

Building strong client relationships, leading projectmeetingsand providing clear project updates throughout delivery.

Ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 andmaintainingthe highest standards of health,safetyand quality across all project sites.

Conducting site inspections, audits, practicalcompletionsand reviewing RAMS to ensure safe working practices aremaintained.

What we’ll need from you

Proven project management experience within solar, renewable energy, electricalconstructionor a similar sector.

Strong understanding of commercial solar PV systems and project delivery.

Experience managing subcontractors,suppliersand multiple project sites.

Knowledge of DNO grid application processes, including G98/G99 requirements.

Proficiencyin Microsoft Project,Exceland project management software.

Excellent communication,organisationaland stakeholder management skills.

Full UK drivinglicence.

IOSH or NEBOSH certification.

Degree in Engineering, ConstructionManagementora relateddiscipline.

Experience ofbattery storage or EV charging integration projects.
