Job Description:

MERITUS is recruiting for a Project Manager to join our client in Portsmouth on an initial 12-month contract within the Defence and Space industry.

Note: This is a hybrid role in Portsmouth requiring 3 days onsite. Candidates must hold sole British Citizenship.

Position Details:

• Role: Project Manager - INSIDE IR35, £60 per hour, 12 months, Portsmouth, Hybrid, Single-stage interview process

Key Responsibilities:

• Project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing
• Delivering complex secure communications infrastructure and services
• Managing projects according to lifecycle standards, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets
• Applying knowledge of PMI project management standards
• Understanding of Agile project management methodologies
• Experience in approving project briefs, delivering projects, and supporting bids, preferably in communications, aerospace, space, or defense sectors
• Degree or equivalent in project management, business management, or relevant engineering discipline
• Strong technical background to support project management activities
