Project Manager – Data Centre & Network Infrastructure

Job Type - Permanent or Contract

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale data centre refresh and network infrastructure upgrade as part of one of Europe's most significant defence projects. This role requires a hands-on approach, managing timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring seamless coordination with the PMO team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end project delivery, including timeline, resource planning, and budget management.
  • Develop and maintain Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), RAIDO logs, and governance reports.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and risks, ensuring minimal disruption to the wider programme.
  • Lead and coordinate network, server, voice, data centre, and business change projects.
  • Provide weekly project reporting and ensure alignment with broader PMO strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards within a highly sensitive environment.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in infrastructure, cloud, or data centre projects.
  • Experience working in defence, nuclear, or secure government environments (desirable).
  • Engineering background preferred; ex-military candidates are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to qualify project scope, assess impact, and manage dependencies.
  • Strong experience in RAIDO management, budget control, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, able to work in high-security, highly regulated environments.
