Job description

Our Telecoms client based in Suffolk is looking for a Project Manager with previous experience delivering projects that require a high level of Health & Safety when deploying solutions on site.

This role is outside IR35, with a rate of £350 per day. It is a 6-month initial contract with potential extensions.

The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week onsite in Suffolk and 2 days remote.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong governance skills, including delivery, billing milestones, and customer-facing experience.
• Prince2 Practitioner certification is essential.
• SC Clearance.
• CCNSG for onsite access (Engineering H&S site).
• Confidence operating in a construction environment, including PPE and H&S protocols.

Desirable

• Experience delivering projects with high Health & Safety standards on site.
• Experience delivering projects into regulated environments such as Nuclear or MOD.
• Exposure to projects delivering technology into the construction industry.
• Agile methodologies experience.
• Willingness to undertake additional safety training, e.g., SMSTS.

Key Responsibilities and Decision Ownership

• Planning & Control: Create detailed project plans, manage change control, and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
• Leadership, Communication & Stakeholder Management: Build collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, and teams, defining clear roles.
• Financial Management: Maintain project financials, manage billing milestones, and understand change governance and its commercial impacts.
• Project Governance & Methodology: Adhere to the company's project delivery framework supported by standards like PRINCE2.
• Risk & Issue Management: Maintain and update risk and issue registers, identify new risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrate leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and concisely tailored to the audience using various tools.
• Planning and Control: Utilize project management tools and methodologies effectively.
