Technical Project Manager (SAF-T) - 10 month contract / Day rate negotiable / Remote working

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager (SAF-T) to join us on an initial 10 month contract with remote working and occasional visits to our Dublin and Reading offices.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager for this technical compliance delivery to ensure that we meet our tight timelines and mitigate further risk of exposure and financial penalty. The PM should have prior experience of SAF-T Compliance implementations, with Tax compliance experience being a distinct advantage.

This is a critical role that demands a seasoned professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and can navigate a complex technical landscape. Experience working with multiple third parties and implementation partners is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of the project from implementation to post-implementation support, ensuring that we meet aggressive timelines.
• Maintain a rigorous and organized approach, with an eye for detail.
• Comfortably lead technical conversations.
• Act as a liaison between key stakeholders (Fiscal advisors, Tax team, Finance Team, Technology, Engineering).
• Provide project management on Tax-related projects.
• Understanding of Tax and invoicing processes is ideal.
• Possess a questioning mindset – able to challenge requirements handed down.
• Experience in cross-functional/cross-lines of business large-scale projects is desirable.
• Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and external vendors, to optimize productivity and minimize disruptions to ongoing operations.
• Monitor project progress closely, identify potential bottlenecks or roadblocks, and implement proactive measures to keep the project on track.
• Communicate project status updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management regularly, providing transparent visibility into project performance.
• Ensure that the Primark gate governance process is followed to avoid blockers to go-live.
• Set up a regular cadence of calls and develop a communications plan for the project.
• Must have the ability to adapt and pivot quickly to ensure that project timelines are protected.
• Experience with Cut Over planning.
• Experience with portfolio reporting.
• Experience with Acceptance into Service and Post Go Live triage issue management.

The Technical Project Manager best suited for this role will have SAF-T compliance experience (e.g., Peppol, SAF-T, RTIR, VIDA, SII, etc.)
