WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

RBSL is looking for a Project Manager - Risk, to join our team in Telford.

The successful candidate will operate the risk management processes on a number of multi-million pound projects as well as at business level.

You will have a level of specialist knowledge in risk management and are expected to be able to adapt and apply these practices in different circumstances, to develop these practices and to guide and instruct others in their application. In addition, broader knowledge of Project Management & Controls practice is required.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

You will provide business and project risk management support, expertise and guidance and reside within the PMO.

• Write and maintain project and business risk management plans
• Support PMs to ensure risk management embedded within delivery of all programmes through risk review facilitation, monitoring and audit
• Risk governance and assurance ensuring RBSL processes and policy utilised in the business
• Prepare Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) reports for RBSL programmes & projects
• Propose SRA analysis opinion, options and analysis to business wide stakeholders
• Act as the risk management and SRA lead for business winning activity
• Support projects to deliver internal and external risk reports
• Develop and share best practice in risk management techniques from across industry
• Align with Finance function to support corporate risk reporting requirements
• Manage internal and external risk stakeholders
• Manage the business risk register
• SME for ARM toolset including configuration, access etc
• Development and delivery of risk management training across the business
• Contribute to the risk management policies and procedures and their ongoing implementation and improvement
• SME for risk and opportunity management within RBSL
• Contribute to the coaching and development of RBSL PM apprentice staff in risk management and associated procedures and techniques

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Proven experience in risk and opportunity management
• Project management and/or project management qualification from an accredited body such as APM or PRINCE preferred
• Proficiency in MS Project, Powerpoint, Excel and ARM
• Experience in utilising risk management software eg ARM, Predict!
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Excellent attention to detail in order to prepare concise and accurate reports
• The ability and drive to develop new techniques relating to the role and incorporating these into BAU
• Confidence to challenge and question their peers when needed
• Highly motivated individual able to work on their own initiative
• Knowledge and experience of PM&C governance and assurance processes
