We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Our Rail Consultancy Programme and Project Management team is growing, and you'll be working on some of the biggest, most iconic rail projects imaginable. It’s challenging, rewarding, and will take your career to the next level.

We are looking for a Project Manager with a Civil Engineering background. You'll be a self-starter with excellent communication skills to engage with clients on project delivery and adding value.

To do this role, you'll need energy, agility, and an eye for detail, as well as the ability to deliver for multiple clients every day. Join us and you'll find a people-first environment where you're supported every step of the way and encouraged to build the career that's right for you.

You'll work within established financial systems and clear project objectives to produce plans, schedules, and track budgets, highlighting variances to manage and control project delivery targets. You'll deliver or assist in managing small to medium-scale projects or programmes of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope within deadlines, and presenting project risks or issues to senior managers to prevent adverse impacts, ensuring project compliance standards are met.

Data is key here at Arcadis. We analyze and review data to identify key themes and trends, using outputs to produce recommendations that support project decision-making, along with applying our knowledge and experience to review project processes and policies, providing advice to support management in developing and improving processes and systems.

We seek individuals who interact effectively across the organization, completing complex professional tasks to ensure projects/programmes meet customer expectations, advising colleagues on project issues, providing subject matter expertise, and collaborating with stakeholders and third-party contractors to keep all parties informed and aligned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Previous experience in the Rail sector environment
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on rail sector projects
  • Experience managing the scoping and design process
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Focus on client experience and adding value to the client
  • Focus on benefits and outcomes delivery
  • Exposure to Programme Management is an advantage
  • Ability to work within and influence a wider project team towards common goals
  • Membership or progress towards Chartership of the Association for Project Management (APM) or similar
