Job description

MCS Group are working with a large public sector team to recruit a Project Manager. This role is a 12 month contract, with a view of possible extension.

Key Details:

  • £22.65 hourly rate.
  • 12 months temporary contract.
  • Belfast based Public Sector team.
  • 37 hour week - flexi hours.

The Role:

  • Lead and take forward a set of existing recommendations.
  • Apply a structured approach (PRINCE2) to the specific requirements of the project.
  • Establish a good working relationship with the Senior Responsible Owner.
  • Develop and maintain an agreed project plan and detailed stage plans.
  • Understand and apply business case and risk management processes.
  • Tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances.
  • Plan and manage deployment of physical and financial resources to meet project milestones.
  • Build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the project.
  • Apply quality management principles and processes.

The Person:

  • Hold a Project Management Certification (Prince2 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in managing a technical projects.
  • Overseeing consultants and contractors on site.
  • A strong understanding of building regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Full current drivers license, or means of transport to fulfil the requirements of the post.
