You will provide budget analysis, labor planning, and coordinate activities between client and company personnel. You will monitor project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections. You will oversee the performance of the delivery, installation, and client acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, or system integration projects or engagements. The role requires strong management skills more than technical skills. You will serve as a mediator to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional teams focused on delivering new or existing solutions to clients. Additionally, you will select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide leadership of multi-disciplinary professionals in a project structure during scoping/discovery workshops, design, configuration, testing, and production support of the ION solution for the client’s business needs.
  2. Manage all ION resources assigned to the project and act as personnel supervisor for HR issues during the assignment.
  3. Serve as the principal point of contact for the client regarding project status, solution quality, scope control, issues, risks, billing, personnel management, and the ION solution.
  4. Manage project Profit and Loss, including effective project cost and revenue budgeting, analysis, and forecasting.
  5. Oversee project change control processes.
  6. Plan, lead, manage, and coordinate project tasks using tools like Microsoft Project Plan, resources, deliverables, issues logs, risks logs, weekly timesheets, project expense reports, and monthly invoices.
  7. Determine the optimal utilization of resources at task and personnel levels.
  8. Keep both client and ION management informed daily about project issues, risks, and delays.
  9. Engage project stakeholders actively and manage client expectations regarding the delivery of the ION solution.
  10. Coordinate client participation through the client project manager to ensure project success.
  11. Provide weekly project status reports to relevant stakeholders, including tracking against the project plan.
  12. Attend and coordinate project and steering committee meetings.
  13. Manage the release of software updates and license keys to the client.
  14. Prepare and present to the client for approval documents like Support Services Requests, acceptance documentation, and final project acceptance.
  15. Maximize chargeability on multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  16. Serve as a mentor and role model for consulting staff.
  17. Enhance, publish, and train staff on best practices for implementation.
  18. Conduct employee performance appraisals throughout the year.
  19. Support sales efforts through project planning, estimation, and documentation for RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and Statements of Work.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at client locations as needed.
  • Proven leadership skills with teams of five or more professionals.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management software implementation, consulting, or systems integration.
  • Hands-on experience with structured project management methodologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Energy, Commodities, Treasury, Banking, or financial services industries.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Institute PMP certification preferred.
