Property Services is a 400 strong multi-disciplinary team who work for Hampshire County Council and partner organisations, other local authorities and public bodies across the south-east region. We shape, design, deliver, maintain and run buildings and sites that provide key public services and places for the communities they serve. A leading enabler of public value across Hampshire, we provide clients with a full range of services including consultancy, design, operational property services, programme & project management and delivery, estates development, print services, facilities management and procurement solutions to support these activities.We have strong values and a culture of commitment, collaboration, professionalism, and empathy, with the ability to work in an agile way.

The Role:

You will join the Pipelines and Programmes Team, Property Services core programme office, who have a strong track record of shaping and managing programmes and projects of varying scale and complexity.

In partnership with our clients, we shape and lead programmes and projects to deliver their required objectives, working across project teams and bringing together multi-disciplinary teams to deliver and support a consistent framework of delivery.

Our approach to project management blends the implementation of effective project management tools (risk management, programme planning, reporting & governance) with well-developed soft skills including strong communication, interpersonal skills and leadership ability.

What you’ll do:

As part of our team, you will work closely with our programme planners. Our programme planners work effectively with stakeholders to establish project and master programme plans which provide a clear route map for delivery. We have delivered projects and programme plans across a number of areas; capital construction, transformation, decarbonisation and strategic land.

What we’re looking for:

You will already have worked in a programme or project environment, be driven, have a ‘can do’ attitude with a flexible approach to a varied workload, working autonomously as well as part of a team and have the ability to manage through ambiguity to bring structure and direction. As well as having excellent organisational and communication skills, you will have the relevant expertise to support our programmes of work and have focus and drive to deliver customer objectives.

Experience of working in a local government or associated environment is not essential. However, demonstrating an understanding of local government or the public sector would be an advantage.
