Job Description:

A large FM and Maintenance contractor, which manages a contract for the Ministry of Justice to maintain UK Prison sites, has an exciting opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent.

The role requires security clearance; therefore, a clear criminal record is essential, especially as the candidate must have been living and working in the UK for the last 5 years.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hard FM project manager to deliver refurbishment works across various sites in the West Midlands. The projects include re-purposing to create more cells, replacing kitchens and bathrooms, and refurbishing living accommodation blocks. The successful candidate will ensure compliance and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely and efficiently, managing safety, CDM, issues, risks, and change requests to ensure timely and successful completion.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct pre-construction meetings with management and clients to define requirements, timelines, and costs.
  2. Develop and revise detailed project plans.
  3. Assign tasks based on team members' skills and experience.
  4. Monitor external contractors to ensure timely delivery.
  5. Prepare and submit project status reports.
  6. Coordinate with stakeholders for project implementation.
  7. Develop leadership and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
  8. Ensure statutory compliance.

About you:

  • Experienced in Hard FM, refurbishment, small works, or maintenance, with pre-construction and CDM awareness.
  • Degree/NVQ level 6 or equivalent in construction, management, or engineering.
  • IOSH/Nebosh certification.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • SMSTS certification.

This role is subject to enhanced security vetting. It is available on PAYE or Umbrella PAYE, not CIS or LTD.
