Job Opportunity: Project Manager for Prestley Country Park

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Parks Consultancy Team. This new role will coordinate the creation of the Prestley Country Park at Alconbury Weald, working with the new community's Master Developer, Urban & Civic.

This role is based at our head office in Ferry Meadows – Ham Farm House, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU, and at Urban & Civic's offices at: The Club, The Blvd, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon PE28 4XA.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the communities team at Urban & Civic, Nene Park Trust, and local stakeholders to engage residents and neighbors in the development of the Country Park, including:
  • Developing and implementing a Community Engagement Plan for the park's transition to establishment
  • Planning community engagement events, such as tree planting in Autumn/Winter 2025
  • Developing the park's identity and communications in partnership with Nene Park's Visitor Engagement and Communications teams and Urban & Civic's Communications and Engagement team
  • Work with Urban & Civic, Stukeley's Parish Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, and other stakeholders to evolve community engagement into potential governance structures aligned with the park's long-term financing
  • Establish a short-term financial plan from 'Transition to Establishment,' including initial maintenance costs, income streams (SFI, CSS, etc.), potential grant funding, and commercial income sources, in coordination with the park's budget
  • Desired Characteristics:
    • Experience in land management and government-funded land management schemes
    • Experience in park management and landscape construction
    • Experience working in parks or similar leisure/tourism destinations
    • Strong project management skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholders
