Job Description:

Scope of Work: As Project Manager, Pre-Openings & Transitions, you will understand the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them. Sustainability, wellness, and unique experiences are core to our brand, and you will ensure these pillars are integrated into all strategic planning and development efforts.

Your responsibilities include coordinating the operational steps involved in hotel pre-opening or conversion, managing all pre-opening activities, and collaborating with senior leadership, the Home Office team, Technical Services, and the General Manager to ensure milestones are met on time and according to brand standards. This role involves overseeing project planning, monitoring progress, managing budgets, and ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders to facilitate a successful hotel opening or transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and update pre-opening calendars and project timelines.
  2. Conduct regular updates and progress reports with Technical Services.
  3. Coordinate pre-opening activities, including kick-off meetings and milestone tracking.
  4. Manage onboarding processes for General Managers and pre-opening teams.
  5. Monitor and control pre-opening expenses and budgets.
  6. Develop and share monthly project status reports.
  7. Identify and escalate delays or issues to senior management.
  8. Ensure all pre-opening activities align with strategic goals and legal requirements.
  9. Support the development and utilization of pre-opening tools and platforms.
  10. Assist senior management and take over tasks as needed in their absence.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
  2. Minimum of five years’ experience in project management within luxury hotel operations or pre-opening roles.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and project management platforms such as Smartsheet.
  4. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  5. Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
