Job description

My client is hiring a Lead Project Engineer/Project Manager, Engineering to join the team. This opportunity is ideal for anyone passionate about delivering in applications engineering, with an eye for detail and the ability to prepare documentation and diagrams.

Responsibilities include:

1. Coordinating and supporting the design team during project design and execution phases.
2. Supporting the tendering team to ensure safe, robust, and optimal designs and documentation.
3. Managing the design team across all disciplines.
4. Communicating with project management on engineering budgets and providing forecast cost estimates and justifications for expenditure changes.
5. Managing the programme and interfacing with planning engineers for design scheduling.
6. Providing forecasts for project completion and resource planning.
7. Approving documentation in line with contractual requirements.
8. Coordinating and chairing design and hazard reviews.
9. Identifying and managing risks across functions, evaluating risks and opportunities, and strategizing mitigation.
10. Supporting the Project Manager in risk and opportunity assessments and implementing actions.

Please note that this position is of a hybrid nature, requiring 2-3 days working from our central Birmingham office.
